Getting Started
Import or Record
• Tap “Import” to choose a clip from your library, or hit the red record button to capture in‑app (up to 20 seconds).Pick Your Mode
• Frame Extraction: Choose your frame interval (every 2nd, 3rd, 6th frame, etc.) to pull still images.
• Stop‑Motion Video: Have MoTap compile those frames into a looping MP4/MOV.Edit & Enhance
• Tap any frame to add stickers, text, or overlays.
• Use global mode to apply to all frames at once.Export & Share
• Save individual PNGs or the full stop‑motion clip to Photos.
• Share directly to Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok stories with “Tap forward/back” callouts baked in.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: My frames aren’t exporting—where are they saved?
A: All exports go to your Photos library under “Recents.” Check your iOS Photos privacy settings if they don’t appear.
Q: How can I change the default frame interval?
A: In the extraction screen, drag the slider or enter a number in settings to adjust the nth‑frame capture.
Q: The app freezes on trimming—what do I do?
A: Make sure your clip is ≤ 20 seconds. For longer files, trim externally or import only the segment you need.
Q: Why can’t I record in low‑light?
A: MoTap enables low‑light boost when available, but native Camera may perform better in very dark scenes. Use library import for best quality.
Q: How do I update to the latest version?
A: Visit the App Store, go to Updates, and tap Update next to MoTap.
